the former farmhouse is situated about 1,5 miles beyond the marvelous medieval village of Cordes-sur-Ciel. Albi with its fantastic cathedral and the museum of the famous painter Toulouse-Lautrec is only 18 miles away.The region is known for wine (Gaillac).The property consists of several buildings like the residential building, the guest’s rooms, a spacious studio and separately the showers and toilets for the guests.From the large terrace, where common meals are taken during summertime, you have a wonderful view on the surrounding landscape. A swimmingpool offers the ideal refreshment after a course day. The dutch couple Frank and Ely lives since several years in the region and organizes the local pottery market in Cordes.

Accomodation:

the rooms are tiny but cosy and suitable.It is also possible to camp on the place for those who wish to do so and nearby locations can be arranged as well.

Meals:

all meals are included, even the coffee and tea-breaks in the morning and the apertif before dinner. Wine from the region accompanies the most delightful dishes.

Groupsize:

a maximum of 12 persons, for each student an electric potters-wheel is provided.

Courses:

Throwing and Raku-courses as well as several other themes for beginners and advanced participants.

The courses offer an introduction to throwing and the dutch potter Frank helps those who want to improve their skills. During the Raku-courses an approach to this special technique und kiln-building is made and smoke-firing is a further topic. Most interesting are the dates when professional ceramists are invited to conduct a course.

The course begins on sunday evening with the dinner in order to give the students the opportunity to get to know each other and ends on saturday after breakfast. Lessons are taken in the morning, in the afternoon, those who do not want to use the studio by themselves, can participate at various excursions offered.
