Location:

You can enjoy your mornings with ceramic courses and the rest of the days/nights live the city of Barcelona with its culture, music, art, beaches, food and wine. The school is located close to the heart of Barcelona, in a typical area within a pedestrian zone, with a traditional fresh-food market, park, close shopping center, local ¨Ramblas¨. The school is well connected, by metro 10 minutes from the Plaza Cataluña and by tramway in 15 minutes to Puerto Olímpico and the beaches or 10 minutes to the Forum.

English, German, Spanish and French ceramic literature is at the guests’ disposal for artistic inspiration as well as perfection of techniques.

After having run a pottery school in Lausanne-Switzerland for several years, Swiss potter Martin and his wife Paula moved to the Barcelona to open their new pottery school, where also Spanish potters give classes. 

Accomodation:

Barcelona offers all standards of accommodation, starting from 35 Euros rooms to top standard. You have the freedom to choose your favourites as the school is well connected to the heart of Barcelona. Some hotels, accommodations and supermarkets are close by.

Meals:

As the courses take place in the morning, you are free to have your lunch in restaurants nearby or in the city. You can buy freshly prepared delicious Spanish food in several places of the area or make your shopping in the market, food stores or shopping center.

The school offers free coffee and beverages during the courses.

Group size:

a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 9 persons, with two ceramists teachers for full classes. The studio is spacious and with new infrastructure: 9 wheel tours, slab machine, 2 electric kilns and all necessary tools.

Courses:

The courses last one week from Monday to Friday, 1000-1400 hr, leaving enough time in the afternoon and evening for the city of Barcelona with it's cultural and leisure activities.

Wheel throwing: introduction for beginners or for advanced improving their skills

Introduction into pottery: hand building techniques (2days), introduction wheel throwing (2 days), decoration (1day).

Your selected pieces can be fired/glazed and be sent to you (shipping costs apply).
