A german couple runs the pottery about 5 miles beyond the northern shore of the Balaton, Hungary’s large lake , among fields and vinyards, surrounded by small hills.

Accomodation:

No rooms are available at the house, but a sufficient number of private rooms at hungarian families are availabe within short distance. The prices are very reasonable, please estimate about 15 € per day incl. breakfast. Also hotel rooms and campgrounds exist in the surrounding.

Meals:

either self-catering or dinner at the respective private locations ( approx. 8 €)

Group size:

a maximum of 6 students, 2 electric potters wheels and all pottery tools are at your disposal.

Courses:

Hand-building, sculpturing, throwing, decorating - whatever your aims and skills are. No matter if you are interested in having a first go at throwing or improving your skills, all sorts of techniques are possible. You will learn the basics of clay or discuss your problems and improve your skills in throwing, slab building, slip decoration, glazing and firing. Individual arrival is on sunday, the following monday the course begins and ends on friday the following week. Lessons are in the morning, in the afternoon and the weekend you can feel free to do whatever you wish.
